Lights, Melodies, Magic: Queen Elizabeth’s Garden of Lights in Gödöllő

Just 30 kilometers from Budapest, the Royal Palace of Gödöllő – the favorite summer residence of Bavarian Queen Elizabeth, better known as Sisi – opens its gates to a spectacular new light exhibition!

This year’s garden of lights is bigger and more enchanting than ever: hundreds of thousands of sparkling lights and dozens of brand-new, handcrafted light sculptures illuminate the breathtaking palace gardens that Sisi loved so dearly.

The 2025 exhibition brings to life four unique themes:

Music – glowing instruments and scenes inspired by the melodies of the past

Children – joyful moments of play and laughter

Sisi’s Garden – a tribute to the Queen’s favorite retreat, in full bloom with radiant light-flowers

Baroque – magnificent decorations and stunning illusions of imperial elegance

In addition to the dazzling sculptures and interactive photo spots, visitors can enjoy a ride on the ferris wheel, offering a breathtaking view of the illuminated gardens and the royal palace.

Step into a fairytale world where history, culture, and the magic of lights come together. Experience the atmosphere of courtly life, glimpse into Sisi’s world and her favorite retreats, marvel at the illuminated hunting scene in the forest, and create sparkling memories for the whole family.

Lights, History and Stories

Discover the magic where history meets the beauty of light installations. Each sculpture tells its own story, drawing you into a world of fantasy and emotion. An unforgettable experience for the whole family – from the youngest to the adults.
