Opening hours
The Royal Palace of Gödöllő and the DECOLED Light Park will be open daily from October 24, 2025, to February 1, 2026.
Light Park Opening Hours: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Last Entry: 8:30 PM
Closed on the following days: November 1, December 24 and 25, and December 31

The length of the tour is about 1 km. The tour usually lasts 60 minutes.

Getting There by Car

Visitors arriving by car can reach the palace via two different routes.
Parking
Parking is available on both sides of the palace: one lot is in front of the palace, and the other is accessible from Main Road No. 3. There is no passage between the two!
The larger gravel parking lot next to the palace can be accessed directly from Main Road No. 3, while to reach the lot in front of the palace, turn onto Ady Endre Promenade at the traffic lights and then turn right again to reach the parking area.
Visitors with limited mobility can park for free in the designated spaces. From the palace-front parking lot, the main entrance is accessible via a barrier-free driveway.
Note: Parking fees apply every day of the week (HUF 440/hour). The ticket machine only accepts Hungarian coins, but payment is also possible by bank card or via SMS.

Visitors with Dogs
The gardens of the Royal Palace of Gödöllő are a protected natural area. By law, dogs are not allowed on the grounds to protect the local wildlife and plants.

For safety reasons, it is forbidden to fly a drone or ride an electric scooter in the exhibition.

Obligations of site visitors

Visitors may only access the Light Park through the main entrance. Tickets can be purchased on-site with cash or card, or online via the nationwide ticketing network at jegy.hu.

Entry to the premises is at your own risk.

Visitors must present their ticket with a QR code upon entry. Any applicable discounts must be verified with a valid photo ID (ID card, driver’s license, passport, student ID, etc.); entry is free for visitors with disabilities.

Visitors must not endanger their own or others’ safety or damage the facilities, and must maintain cleanliness and order.

Visitors who ignore the instructions of the organizers, security personnel, or fire and health regulations may be denied entry or removed without compensation. Parents are responsible for their children’s behavior and safety throughout the visit.

Children under the age of 16 may enter the Light Park only when accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult, who is responsible for the child’s safety for the entire visit.

For children’s groups, at least one adult must accompany every 10 children.

Dogs are strictly prohibited on the Light Park premises.

Please use the designated bins for waste and smoke only in the designated areas.

Visitors must follow the organizers’ instructions during park evacuation.

In icy conditions, visitors should exercise extra caution and be aware that snow or ice may fall from roofs, structures, or trees.

QR Code Tickets:

Each visitor receives a unique QR-coded ticket, valid for a single entry during the designated opening hours.

Invalid QR codes will not grant entry.

Ticket forgery is a criminal offense.

Paid tickets and service fees are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

Ticket holders agree that organizers may use photos, films, or videos taken on the premises for documentation and promotional purposes without financial obligation to the visitor.
Liability and Consequences for Violating Rules:

In case of violation, the operator may claim compensation for any damages, including lost profits (e.g., event cancellation), or impose fines according to applicable law.

Visitors under the influence of alcohol are fully responsible for any injuries.

Serious violations may result in immediate removal from the premises without compensation.

Visitors must comply with requests from organizers or authorized personnel, including security, to ensure rules are followed.

The organizer may immediately remove visitors from the premises if rules are violated.
Right to Close the Park Due to Weather:

The operator reserves the right to temporarily close the Light Park for safety reasons under any adverse weather conditions that could endanger visitors, e.g., strong wind, heavy rain, snowstorms, hail, etc.
