🌌 Welcome to the Light Universe

Take a journey through illuminated space where planets, stars, comets, and black holes come to life. Each exhibit shines with its own story. Look closer, imagine, and explore.

🚀 3 ROCKET

To travel into space, you need a spacecraft. In the past, rockets and later space shuttles were used. Today, humanity has returned to modern rockets that can land and fly again. Take a photo as astronauts ready for liftoff.

☿️ 4 MERCURY

Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun. Its surface is full of craters and looks similar to the Moon. It has no atmosphere, and temperatures swing from extreme heat to freezing cold. A year on Mercury lasts only 88 Earth days.

♀️ 5 VENUS

Venus is the hottest planet in the Solar System. Its thick atmosphere creates a powerful greenhouse effect, and surface temperatures reach up to 500°C. In the sky, we see it as the Morning Star or the Evening Star.

🌍 6 EARTH

Earth is our home and the only known place in the universe where life exists. It has water, air, oceans, forests, plants, animals, and ideal conditions for living. Water covers most of its surface, which is why it is called the Blue Planet.

🔴 7 MARS

Mars is known as the Red Planet. There are signs of ancient rivers, polar caps made of frozen carbon dioxide, and the tallest mountain in the Solar System called Olympus Mons. Robotic rovers from Earth are already exploring it.

🌕 8 JUPITER

Jupiter is the largest planet in the Solar System. It has no solid surface and consists of gases and clouds. The Great Red Spot is a giant storm that has been raging for centuries. Four of its largest moons can be seen in a telescope.

💍 9 SATURN

Saturn is famous for its beautiful rings made of ice and dust. It is so light it would float on water. It appears in telescopes as a glowing sphere with bright side rings. Saturn is also visible in the night sky.

🔷 10 URANUS

Uranus is an icy giant with a blue-green color. It rotates on its side, like a rolling ball. It has rings, but they are not visible from Earth. The temperature falls far below freezing.

🔹 11 NEPTUNE

Neptune is the farthest planet from the Sun. It is deep blue because of methane in its atmosphere. The strongest winds in the entire Solar System blow on Neptune, reaching over 2,000 km per hour.

🌀 12 BLACK HOLE

A black hole is created after a star collapses. It has such strong gravity that nothing can escape, not even light. That is why we cannot see it. Anything that gets too close will never return.

☄️ 13 COMET

A comet is a frozen ball made of ice, dust, gas, and rock. When it approaches the Sun, it heats up and forms a glowing tail. Sometimes comets are shown as Christmas stars in nativity scenes.

👽 14 FLYING SAUCER

People often imagine flying saucers as alien spacecraft. No one has ever proved their existence, yet they have become a symbol of UFOs and mysterious space travel.

☀️ 15 SUN

The Sun is the star that gives us life. It provides light, warmth, and energy for our planet. Without the Sun, there would be no water, atmosphere, or life. It makes up almost all the mass of the Solar System.

🌕 19 MOON

The Moon is the closest celestial body to Earth. We always see only the same side. The Moon waxes, wanes, becomes full, and then disappears again. Its surface is covered with craters and lunar seas, which contain no water. The far side can only be seen thanks to space probes.

🌃 20 EARTH AT NIGHT

When the Sun does not shine, Earth lights up in a different way. Cities, roads, and industrial areas glow in the dark. This effect is called light pollution. Because of it, stars are often hidden from view.

❄️ 31 AURORA

After a solar eruption, energized particles may reach Earth. When they enter the atmosphere, it begins to glow. This creates the aurora. It is most often seen in Norway, Finland, Iceland, but sometimes also in the Czech Republic.

🛰️ 33 SATELLITE

A satellite orbits Earth and helps us every day. It enables GPS navigation, weather forecasts, television, internet, and global communication. Without satellites, our modern world would not function.

🚀 34 SPACE PROBE

A space probe explores distant planets and objects. It can travel much farther than humans. The Voyager probes have traveled through the entire Solar System and are now almost beyond its edge.

✈️ 35 SPACE SHUTTLE

The space shuttle took off like a rocket but landed like an airplane. It carried the Hubble Telescope into space and delivered parts for the International Space Station.

👨🚀 36 ASTRONAUT

In space, there is no air or warmth. Astronauts need a spacesuit to protect them from cold, radiation, and vacuum. Take a photo as a real space explorer.

🔭 37 OBSERVATORY AND PLANETARIUM

An observatory offers real views of the sky through telescopes. A planetarium shows stars, planets, and galaxies even during the day or in cloudy weather. It is a place where the universe becomes close and understandable.

38 METEOR

A shooting star is not a star at all. It is a small stone burning in the atmosphere, and we call it a meteor. If it lands on Earth, it becomes a meteorite. In August we can watch the Perseids. In December, the Geminids.

Conclusion

The universe is full of light, mystery, and inspiration. We do not know all its secrets, but the journey of discovery begins simply by looking up.
