The old fortress of Komárno transforms every evening after dark into a magical fantasy world full of lights and adventures.
Set out on a unique journey made of hundreds of thousands of glowing lights – dive into the depths of the sea, discover treasures, board a submarine or a steamboat, find yourself among divers and fantastic sea creatures. You will also see a light train, a majestic airship, a hot-air balloon, and retro robots that will carry you into another world.
The journey through the fantasy light kingdom begins every day after dark.

Airships and steam engines in the world of fantasy
Let yourself be carried back to the times when technology and imagination created great adventures. Embark on a journey among beautifully illuminated airships, a steam train, and majestic ships that will take you into the era of steam engines and bold inventions. You will experience a fascinating blend of history, fantasy, and thousands of lights that bring the atmosphere of bygone times to life as you have never seen before.

Types of tickets:

Standard: visitors aged 15–64

Reduced: children aged 2–14, students up to 26 with ID, disabled visitors, disabled visitors with assistants, and seniors 65+

Disabled visitor with assistant – assistant free
When purchasing a reduced, disabled, or disabled with assistant ticket, you must present a photo ID to the staff.
Tickets can be purchased online, or in cash or by card at the ticket office.
Benefit cards are not accepted.
The ticket is single-use.
The visit time is not limited within opening hours, but re-entry is not allowed.
Opening hours
The light exhibition is open daily from November 14, 2025, to February 1, 2026.
On December 24 and December 31, the exhibition is closed.
The light park is open from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
The last entry is at 8:30 PM.

Parking in front of the fortress – free of charge.
Komárno railway station.
Komárno bus station.
Bus lines 2, 3, 8 – within 500 m from the Fortress – stop “Vnútorná okružná – Park Anglia.”

Free parking in front of the fortress at a large-capacity parking lot.
Dogs
Dogs are welcome here. Even if your four-legged friend is well-behaved, for the comfort of other visitors it is necessary to keep the dog on a leash and with a muzzle. Don’t forget the bags!
Photography
Photography or video recording within the Story of Lights exhibition is allowed without any fee or restriction. On the contrary, we will be happy if you tag us on social media with #storyoflightssk @storyoflightssk. We love sharing your creations on our profiles. Flying drones is prohibited!
Refreshments
Refreshments are not available for purchase inside the light exhibition area. Bringing your own food and drinks is allowed.
Barriers
The exhibition is barrier-free.
Restrooms
The area includes fully equipped toilets, also accessible for disabled visitors.
